Berger Feinste Confiserie sponsors biathlete

Berger Feinste Confiserie sponsors biathlete

From now on, the golden Berger logo adorns the hat of the 25-year-old biathlete Julia Schwaiger from Saalfelden. Together with the Pinzgau chocolate manufacturer, she would like to achieve her athletic goals.

Berger Feinste Confiserie is now the head sponsor of the biathlete Julia Schwaiger (born on January 21, 1996). Just like the chocolate creations of the confectionery from Pinzgau conquer the world, that's how Julia Schwaiger conquers one goal after another step by step. “A few years ago we were allowed to accompany the former biathlete Bernhard Leitinger for a part of his athletic journey. We are now looking forward to supporting his girlfriend Julia in her sporting goals ”, say Hubert and Christine Berger. Julia has been passionate about biathlon since she was a child. After the sports high school in Saalfelden, she pursued her dream in the ski high school. After graduating from high school and good sporting success, she joined the armed forces in 2015 as a competitive athlete and can work here 100% on their sport.

In 2013 she celebrated her first major international success.

The gold medal in the individual and the bronze medal in the relay are two of a total of 7 medals at the youth and junior world championships. With the victory in the IBU Cup (2nd division of the biathlon), she achieved another milestone in 2018. She has been an integral part of the Austrian World Cup team since 2018 and can already boast a top ten and several top 20 results. With the victory in the Austrian individual championship in summer, she was able to qualify again for the coming World Cup season.

"With Berger Feinste Confiserie as my partner, I would like to get a little closer to the top of the world this year and regularly collect World Cup points with consistently good results," says the native of Saalfelden.

Hubert and Christine Berger wish Julia all the best, health and success in achieving her goals in these challenging times and congratulate her on 17th place at the World Cup opener in Kontiolahti!
