BERGLEGENDEN
At first sight, they might seem to be unconventional – the organic chocolate bars “Berglegenden” from Berger Feinste Confiserie: Meadow flowers harvested in the Unkener Heutal and herbs from the Salzburger Almsommer are filled in an extraordinary thin layer of chocolate. High-proof delight promise the chocolate bars “pear brandy” and “cranberry-swiss pine”. A new creation is the combination of buttermilk, elderberry and organic milk chocolate in our chocolate bar “buttermilk-elderberry”, which creates a sensation due to its slightly fruity-bitter note.
BLACK ELDERBERRY AS A TRIED AND TRUSTED HOUSEHOLD REMEDY
The black elderberry used to be a replacement for the pharmacy in earlier times and the berries of this bush were used in many ways. Most of all the small, black berries contain a lot of vitamin C and the juice extracted from these berries is still considered an appropriate remedy for a cold and for strengthening the immune system.
The elderberry reveals its broad taste spectrum in combination with buttermilk and organic milk chocolate. A sweet aftermath finalizes the slightly bitter taste notes of this domestic berry and pampers the palate with the feeling of a hike with a stop at an alpine meadow.
THE LEGEND
A legend is a “person or thing that has become so well known, has achieved such a status, that many legends have build around it” (Oxford Languages). One might also call it a myth. Legendary, complex and domestic are our “Berglegenden”. They connect the extraordinary of our alpine region with tender organic chocolate. They unify regional ingredients and exquisite creations. A combination of tradition and the spirit of presents times. A liaison of mountains and legends.
