Hardly any other song embodies summer like “Here comes the sun” from The Beatles. Leaving everything behind, stress, responsibilities, worries and diving into the cozy warmth of the sun with a smile on one’s face.

George Harrison wrote this song in a very challenging period for him. He had quit the Beatles temporarily. He also felt his responsibilities for the Beatles’ Apple Corps organization as increasingly overwhelming, so he decided to leave all of that behind and visit his friend Eric Clapton in whose garden he wrote this world hit.

Later on Harrison stated in his autobiography “I, Me, Mine”:

"Here Comes the Sun" was written at the time when Apple was getting like school, where we had to go and be businessmen: 'Sign this' and 'sign that.' Anyway, it seems as if winter in England goes on forever, by the time spring comes you really deserve it. So one day I decided I was going to sag off Apple and I went over to Eric Clapton's house. The relief of not having to go see all those dopey accountants was wonderful, and I walked around the garden with one of Eric's acoustic guitars and wrote "Here Comes the Sun".

Does not everyone has responsibilities, worries and problems that, from the time to time, he wants to escape from? “Here comes the sun” became the anthem of this feeling. Even more, the anthem of a whole season.
