BERGER FEINSTE CONFISERIE: The creative workshop for chocolate

The following story is about sensuality, passion and longing. It leads into a world in which you can touch, see, smell and taste it: the emotion that is called chocolate. The chocolate we are talking about tempts, pampers, seduces.

From garage company to well-known confectionery

As with some other success stories, it all started in a garage. There Hubert and Christine Berger specialized in the production of fine chocolates and sweet works of art with a lot of heart in September 1994. The intention was clear: "We convince with very special quality". The rest is history. In the meantime, the original two-man business has become a well-known confectionery shop. “Despite growth and expansion, we have remained true to the principle of handcraft over the years,” says Christine Berger. "The finest fillings are still cooked with a lot of love, poured into a wafer-thin chocolate bowl, coated with melt-in-the-mouth chocolate and then artfully decorated by hand," adds her husband. The two are visibly proud of their manufacture - and rightly so! After completing his apprenticeship as a master confectioner, Hubert Berger gained experience at well-known confectionery shops in Germany and Belgium to learn the craft of chocolatiers. Since the company was founded, he has been managing the Controlling and HR departments and is the contact person for all questions about the art of chocolate. His wife Christine Berger is the managing director for marketing, in particular for product design, packaging development and presentation at the point of sale. In addition to their duties in the company, the two are parents of three children and thus combine family, success and business. Berger Feinste Confiserie is actually a family business - in the first generation.

Taste experience in abundance

A special trademark of Berger Feinste Confiserie are the delicately filled chocolate bars, which promise a taste experience in abundance and represent a modification of the classic praline. In order to stand out from the competition, new flavors are constantly being developed: there is the blueberry with gin refined, the walnut tries its hand at milk chocolate. “There are also trends in the food sector. We want to recognize this early on and implement it in combination with chocolate, ”says Christine Berger. It almost goes without saying that the packaging is in no way inferior to the content in terms of imagination and creativity. Depending on the occasion or the season, the chocolate forge from Lofer stages the sweet contents. "We stage a coherent product world around the content", says the entrepreneur. “Not only the customers, we are also pleased that we can present something new every season. We like to be creative! ”Says Christine Berger. "Together we have created a very elegant and modern corporate design that is reflected in all of our products and thus ensures that Berger Feinste Confiserie chocolate creations are recognizable all over the world."

Sweet creations all over the world

n addition to the headquarters in Lofer, the chocolate factory offers its products in six further branches in Salzburg, Tyrol and, since the end of September 2018, also in Styria.
